Eva is a holistic health consultant, gardener, Reiki practitioner, with a background in education. She was drawn to naturopathy and dowsing years ago and earned her R.N.C. (Registered Nutritional Consultant) certificate in 1987. More recently Eva published 'Vital Knowledge', a holistic health reference and dowsing manual to enable others to help themselves to vibrant good health. Eva consults privately and offers "DOWSING for HEALTH and WEALTH" workshops (with a focus on Chart-dowsing using pendulums) the third Saturday of each month, 10a.m.- 3p.m. in North York. Joan Nathanson, Hamilton, ON, is a past President of the Canadian Society of Dowsers and founder of the Hamilton and Area Healing Network, a CSD Associate Member. This Mini-Course in Pendulum Dowsing is designed as a learning tool for beginners. It can also be used for a class or for discussion by experienced dowsers for it contains bits of information that even the most skilled dowsers may appreciate.

Originally published as Needles Of Stone by Turnstone Books back in 1978, with a mass-market paperback by Granada Publishing, this revised edition is essentially a reprint with more footnotes and an addendum bringing it up to date (at the time), with particular reference to the Dragon Project research on physical energies (infra-red, ultrasound, microwave, cosmic-radiation anomalies and so on) at stone circles and similar sites.
It's become something of a classic, particularly for the new breed of feng-shui practitioners, as it's almost the only book which looks in detail at the level beyond systems, to a deeper understanding of what 'earth-energies' actually mean.
